4th of July Weekend in Pictures

Peekaboo! Lukey sees you!

Saturday July 3, I think I already said we didn't do much this day, BUT, Daddy did set up the Sprinkle Splash & Play Mat for Luke in the back yard & he had a blast playing on it.  This picture is when it was on "full blast" which he DID NOT like.  We turned the water pressure down & then he got into it.  I can see lots of hot summer days spent on this, both this summer & next!

Ahh, that's more like it!
The ubiquitous cups.  Luke LOVES cups.

Saturday night after Pap left, Mommy made homemade donuts.  The dough had basically flour & water in it, so I figured it wouldn't hurt Luke to try a few bites.  I'm still really watching what we let him taste.  He liked it but not enough to eat even 1/4 of the little donut.

Sunday, July 4, 2010--Luke's First Independence Day
Our church, The Gathering UMC, met at Little Island Park in Sandbridge for a beach-side service & then some fun in the sun.  We had Carolynn with us and we had a good time.  We carried WAY more STUFF than we needed, but I like to be prepared!
The water was pretty chill, so Luke didn't even go all the way in.  He pretty much hung out in the surf while Carolynn played.

After the beach we went home and everybody took showers & naps.
Pap came over around 5:30 and we grilled hamburgers and then Mommy made more donuts.

Luke went to bed for the night at 8 pm, so he didn't even get a chance to play with sparklers or anything.  (The sun is still up @ 8.)  When Pap & Amanda left at 9:30, we all set off a handful of leftover wedding sparklers to celebrate.

Monday July 5, yea, he slept in his USA outfit, so I could get decent pics today.  He decided to blow raspberries at the camera though.
I did manage to capture one, sideways smile on camera.

Happy 4th of July!
