Catching Up....a real live Sunday Update!

Friday-May 29-Fun Day (carnival at school) Totally beat, came home and went to sleep!

Saturday-May 30-James and Missy's House-We had a good time just hanging out. Missy, Christy (another friend) and I went to the mall & Target and walked around. I got a new pair of flip flops & a new bathing suit! We had shish-ka-bobs off the grill and played Wii. Tim, Pete, and James went and saw Star Trek in the morning. Trevor is the cutest kid currently in my life & we love him to pieces! At one point I asked him to say "Thank You" and James was like, "did you just correct my kid?" I said, "yep!" Missy said, "nope, she just corrected her godson! " Aww...that might be the first time Missy has called him MY godson, in 2 years. Technically, Tim is the godfather & another girl named Jennifer is the godmother...but we're more involved in his life. Trevor was ALL about his Auntie Stevie this weekend!

Sunday-May 31-Slept in until 11:30, putzed around the house until 12:30, cleaned a bit, bummed, ate egg salad for lunch and am currently making chicken wings & fries for dinner. I managed to get laundry done, and put away, the guest room straightened & vacuumed, we closed the vent in there & are keeping that room closed off for now, vacuumed our room, the hall, and the living room, & swept the kitchen. Tim played Half Life 2 and beat the whole game today & now he's doing the mountain of dishes. Fun stuff. At least the house isn't a stinky pig sty anymore!

(16)Monday-June 1--I am SERIOUSLY behind on getting the Girl Scout Court of Awards together. I really think I'm going to skip the ceremony & just have a party & give out the awards. I've not got it in me to do much more! I'll be at work late & will miss my now regular afternoon nap. Wish me luck!

(15)Tuesday-June 2 SIMS 3 COMES OUT! I plan on getting the game on my way home from work & then doing nothing. I wish I could skip work this day & just play, play, play, but I need to be there to remind my kids about the field trip.

(14)Wednesday -Luray Caverns field trip from 5:15 AM-6:00 PM

(13)Thursday-June 4 Youth Ambassador's Program

(12)Friday- June 5- Going to have the boys most likely

(11)Saturday-June 6-Relay for Life all day, going to have the boys most likely

Busy Bee

Well, today's been somewhat productive.

We woke up early...it took some "encouraging" from Tim but I finally got up around 7:30.

Tim showered & headed to WaWa and Farm Fresh. We needed eggs, water, and milk, and he bought breakfast at WaWa.

When he got back, I made some scrambled eggs for me & we played with baby names for a bit. We were supposed to do it yesterday but I was too worn out from Fun Day at school. (Just the heat-I didn't do anything & I drank water & gatorade like a crazy person!)

Then he had to leave to go to the movies to see Star Trek w/ James and another friend. I spent a lot of time online, doing much of nothing. The new Sims 3 comes out on Tuesday & OMG I cannot wait! We got to play a preview of it at the mall last weekend & I about fainted!

When I got off the computer (around 10) I spent about 30 minutes reading Harry Potter 3 (making my way through the series to get ready for the July new movie release!) and laying in bed some more.

Then I got up, got somewhat dressed (shorts & a sports bra--I'm hot!) and started cleaning.

I got all the toys off the floor/bed in the nursery & got it cleaned up & ready to vacuum. I straightened up my bathroom & got it looking decent. I straightened up our bathroom & got rid of all the trash. I made the bed & got all the clean clothes in our room piled up to be put away. I got all the dishes out of the bedroom & office, piled up and ready to go to the kitchen. I got all the trash out of the office and back of the house. Our bedroom, hall, and nursery are all ready to vacuum. I straightened the living room & got it ready to vacuum too. I didn't do much in the kitchen except put away food where I could & clean up the trash.

Anyway, I'm ready to get a shirt on, brush my hair, and head to Missy's house. Tim is probably out of the movies & on his way back there by now too!

Coming Home Outfits

There was a thread on diaperswappers about coming home outfits & it got me to looking around. My mom love's her Annie's Attic catalogues and I definitely want mom to make the baby's coming home outfit. So, from the catalogue so far, I found these two.

What do you think? Want to look around and shoot me the link to ones you like better? Go for it!

Updates & Stuff

Well...I'm officially 17 weeks pregnant...moving right along! The baby is approximately the size & weight of a turnip.

Tim and I have a fun new game....when we're in the grocery store, we find whatever this week's produce is & compare it to my belly! We've been doing it since the week of the lemon...it's kind of amazing!

So, the nausea is (and was) for real gone. That day I had the migraine and threw up (Thursday of SOL testing week) was just from the migraine. That is the one and only time I threw up this entire pregnancy. (knockonwood) I've been able to eat pretty much whatever I wanted. My taste buds are changing (or at least are more sensitive) and some things don't taste as good to me anymore.

I'm tired a lot still and have been taking afternoon naps as often as I can. I also get wore out pretty quickly and can't do a whole bunch without breaks.

Dehydration is our number one concern right now, since I seem to be having a serious problem with it. I have to drink tons of water & gatorade to stay hydrated. The gatorade seems to be really helping and since I started it, I haven't had any more miserable days.

I still pee every 45 minutes-an hour and that's annoying. Sometimes I feel like I've REALLY got to go and then just a trickle comes out, other times I gush and gush and go for what seems like for-ever!

I don't know if I mentioned that Tim felt the baby move, I think it was on Sunday. I'm feeling flutters pretty regularly as long as I'm still and paying attention. I can't wait for kicks that I can feel no matter what. I'm sure by October I'll wish the baby would just hold still, but I am so looking forward to feeling the little baby wiggle and squirm.

I'm having awful nightmares. Very vivid dreams about the baby, on a regular basis. One night I dreamt I miscarried into the toilet and the baby was the size of a peanut (like the nut, out of the shell, so tiny) even though I KNOW we've seen him on the ultrasound & he was bigger than that. Last night I dreamt that the baby was a girl, full term, but it was really a baby doll, and she wasn't going to live. She was BEAUTIFUL though. And we didn't name her Jacqueline, but rather something with Lily in it...(this could be b/c of seeing Tabitha's little girl, Lily, last week)

Monday at Tom and Peggy's I got to hold a little 5 or 6 week old baby and he just snuggled right into my chest and relaxed. It was cute. I can't wait to have my own little baby. I may never let him go! I just want to hold him and cuddle him and learn to nurse and be a real mom.

Anyway, the SOLs are over and we are in full time shut down mode at school. We have 10 days +4 1/2 days left. I am so ready to be done!

Here's the breakdown of what I have left:

Tomorrow- Regular Day
Friday-Fun Day (carnival)
Saturday-James and Missy's House
Sunday-Nothing

Monday-June 1
Tuesday-June 2 (SIMS 3 COMES OUT!)

Friday- 1/2 Day
Saturday-Washington D.C.
Sunday-Possibly Busch Gardens

Monday- June 15 1/2 Day

58 lbs and a Smile!

Well, it's 12:30 and we just got home from the strawberry field & lunch. We picked 58 lbs of strawberries in about 2 hours.

Mandy took home most of them to cut up and freeze for her and mom and we kept about 20 lbs for ourselves.

We went to Chic Fil A for lunch afterwards and that was nice.

Then, when we got home, the mailman brought the mail while we were unloading. He commented on all the berries and he said "Congratulations, Mama"...which I thought was cute and sweet. I mean he sees what he's putting in our mailbox and I've been getting all kinds of baby stuff and magazines. It was nice of him to say something!

Now it's time to shower & then go to Trevor's birthday!

Update on Housework

So, I have since gotten a bit more done in the living room and kitchen & started another load of laundry.

I am making a quickie pot of sauce for dinner, since we didn't have any taco seasoning or hamburger helper.

Then, we're going to bed.

UGH.

End of Week 16 Update

So..I lied. My energy is NOT back. I am still occasionally getting nauseaus.

My house is a mess once again.

I'm too tired to do anything.

YUCK.

Make me clean something. It needs done!

UPDATE:
So far I have cleared off the coffee table, taken out the trash, washed a load of laundry, and straightened up a bit in the living room. I'm avoiding the kitchen but it's 8:00 and I should probably make some dinner. It's stinky in there though & it's irritating my stomach! Wah! Tim is outside cleaning his truck. Apparantly a baby bottle spilled in there last week & that's just gross. We are taking the truck tomorrow morning to go strawberry picking, so he wanted to get it cleaned for us. Wish us luck. We have plans to be in Pungo at 7:00 am! We also need to pick 25 lbs for Amanda, 15 lbs for Mom, and 25 lbs for me! Sixty five pounds of strawberries!

16 Week Check Up

Quick one here...

Went to the doc today, had my quad screen bloodwork done & a quick listen to Baby Goetsch's heart rate! Yay! Dr. M said the baby sounds GREAT! He also said I'm looking good, weight is good, and to keep up the good work!

The best part of the whole appointment was the end, when I scheduled my ultrasound! Yay! On Wednesday, June 17, at 8:30 am, God willing, we will find out if Baby Goetsch is a boy or a girl! Yay! Everyone send good vibes to baby that day, so he/she will SPREAD 'em!

I've got my energy back, I ate ground beef this weekend, and I'm not nauseas any more! Wahoo!

Also, I'm hoping and praying that I start feeling real kicks within the next 4 weeks!

Sunday Update!

Well, here's a weekend re-cap for ya!

Friday night-had the boys, watched "Transformers"

Saturday day- bummed around and did nothing. It was great!

Saturday afternoon- got the boys, they both slept so for a couple hours we only had none or one of them awake! I got the mood to cook & clean so I did that. I made chili, cheese dip, and corn bread.

Saturday night- We watched "In Her Shoes" and tried to get both boys to go to sleep. Lindsey was late and so we went to bed. Grayson was still awake but laying in the bed, so we turned the monitor on & I went to sleep. He eventually fell asleep. Lindsey showed up at 1:15.

Sunday morning-I slept in. Tim went to church. Then we did nothing for a while. Then we went to the air port to get Amanda and J.C. When we got back she gave us a Mike Wazowski mug for Tim and a reusable grocery bag from Disney for me! (yay!) I also looked at some of her pictures and showed her the video of Spencer's first steps!

Sunday afternoon-Tim and I went to Target, where we got Starbucks and spent a bunch of money. (Cash from our babysitting! Yay!) We got Trevor's birthday present, some stuff for Amanda, and some stuff we needed too. Then we went to Babies R Us and finished our registry off. (at least the part we were doing in store) I still need to go online and make sure we don't have duplicate items and check over what all made it on there. Then we walked over to Best Buy. We got the Sims 3 pre-sale package and a cable so we can listen to Tim's Zune in the living room. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. All the money we spent today was cash from babysitting, so that's great!

Sunday night-Right now we're doing nothing but we're getting ready to head to bed (yes at 6:45) to either read or watch a movie before actually going to sleep pretty early. I'm reading Harry Potter to Tim, so we can be refreshed on the books before the new movie comes out in July. (Yea, we'll spend the 3 million dollars to go to the theater to see it!)

So, that's the weekend recap.

This week is going to be a busy one:

Monday-

Dr. Appt. at 3:45 for Quad Screen bloodwork

Girl Scouts (only 2 meetings left this year, so we have a lot to do at this one!)

Tuesday-babysitting for Melanie & going over to Chrissy's house to go through Caro's baby toys before Chrissy freecycles them.

Wednesday-nothing on the books...

Thursday-nothing on the books, unless Melanie wants me to babysit again?

Friday-nothing on the books...

Saturday-Trevor's birthday @2

Sunday-Beth's birthday at Tom and Peggy's after church

Oh and if you're wondering about the lovely picture up top...that's some guy who was at Disney World when my family went in 2004. Yea...interesting.

Tired...and still in shock

Wow. I'm having a baby. There is a real live human being inside of me! It's still pretty shocking & I'm feeling pretty overcome by it today.

I'll be 16 weeks on Monday. That's so crazy! I'm officially in maternity pants, there's no way I'm getting back into my regular jeans any time soon.

Wednesday I got a migraine, complete with the visual aura and all about 8:30 in the morning. I called the doc, they wanted me to come in, Tim came to get me and off we went. We went to the doc. Tim got to hear the baby's heart beat on the doppler and then the doc said we needed to go to the ER.

So we walked next door (how convenient) and waited for 3 hours to be seen. Then when they finally saw me, they gave me something in my IV that made my blood pressure crash & knocked me out. It was a couple hours later before I was up and able to go home.

We got home around 5:00 and I went straight to bed for the night.

Thursday my kids had the SOL at school and it was boring. I was tired and actually fell asleep a couple times during the test! After work I bailed on babysitting and went home and went to bed again! (this time at 4:00) Tim got me up and I ate and then went back to sleep somewhere around 7:30. I did get my ad up on Craigslist for the day care but so far I haven't had any replies. I'm going to repost it today, so it gets bumped up the page some.

Friday at work was a bum day at work. I gave the kids some tests that needed done and then we went outside for recess. Then after lunch I let them watch R.V. with Robin Williams in it.

After school I got my car cleaned out and then picked up Grayson and Spencer. We came straight home and waited around for Tim. When he got home we all got ready to go and headed over to Amanda's house.

Tim tried to play with the cats but the babies were scaring them off. We spent a little bit of time with them anyway and then headed out. We went to Greenbrier Mall and got my glasses tightened up. Yay! I can see again! (They were always slipping off my face & I couldn't see b/c I was getting headaches.) Then we went to McDonald's in the mall for some cheap dinner. (less than $12 for Tim, Grayson, and I)

Then we wandered around the mall a bit before heading home. When we got home, Grayson fell and I got him cleaned up and then put to bed. Then I went and got Spencer and put him to bed too.

After both boys were asleep and the baby monitor was set up, Tim and I sat down to watch Transformers. Spence ended up waking up near the end and I brought him to the living room to snuggle. Then I ended up falling asleep too! After the movie ended, I put Spence back in the pack n play and Tim and I went to bed. That was around 12:30 or 1....Lindsey came to get the boys at 2:30.

This morning has been lazy and so far I haven't done anything since getting up at 9:30. I did finish watching the end of Transformers and I ate a pound of strawberries for breakfast.

The rest of the weekend plan is 1. clean house, 2. get the boys this afternoon, 3. get up early for church, and 4. go to the Chesapeake Jubilee

Fifteen Weeks!

Wow. Can you believe it? I am 15 weeks pregnant. It is CRAZY. There's a little baby in my belly! It's funny to me, when I think back on myself in college, and back then, I just KNEW, I'd be totally grossed out by this experience. Yet, here I sit, in AWE of what my body is able to do! When I feel the baby's little movements I get so excited & happy. It's awesome and wonderful and great, not gross at all! I'm starting to feel less sick (knockonwood) these days and I'm almost afraid to step on the scale & see if I've picked up any weight. I've been eating three steady meals a day so I'm sure I'll start to gain soon (if not already).

So, here's an update on the baby's development:

Your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 4 inches and she now weighs approximately 1.75 ounces. Your baby is close to the size of a softball and you can easily tell that you are pregnant now! If you wear maternity clothes or a swimming suit, other people will be able to tell that you are pregnant also. You can probably feel your uterus about three to four inches below your bellybutton. (from Iampregnant.com)

How your baby's growing:Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (from Babycenter.com)
Well, that's all I've got!

Maternity Swimwear

OMG. Maternity swimwear is hard enough...then add in that I'm "plus sized" and it's a battle that doesn't look good! I think I found an acceptable solution at Target & one at Motherhood. I don't know how much I'll even be swimming this summer but I want a suit, just in case!

Since we are now planning a trip to D.C. on June 14, which could involve swimming, if Mom and Dad get a hotel room, I'll need one pretty soon & that'll last me from about 20 weeks to 32 weeks. (That's a lot of growing!)

Wish me luck!

Victory in Iraq

Hey there folks,
I haven't blogged in a long while because I've been feeling so poopy. However, I am feeling better & spending a bit of time online tonight. I was talking to my mom too, about when I'm going to see them again and it sounds like they're coming to Washington D.C. for 2 rallies that are coming up.

I LOVE Washington D.C. and think Tim and I will go up and at least spend the days with them and go to the rallies too!

The first one is being held on June 13, this summer, it's a Saturday, and it's to celebrate the victory in Iraq. A lot has been accomplished over there & our soldiers are the reason why. We should honor and support THEM regardless or who is the president and what political party we
belong to. That's the weekend before school gets out and I'll only be about 20 weeks pregnant, so I think that we'll definitely drive up for that one. It's also the day before Tim's birthday (and Flag Day) so that'll be a nice way to celebrate.

Here's a blurb about it from the "Gathering of Eagles" webpage.

DECLARE VICTORY IN IRAQ Americans! If we don't do
it, it won't be done; join us as we gather in the nation's capital on June 13th to commemorate "Victory in Iraq Day" and to thank our military for their sacrifices on behalf of a grateful nation. The time has come to recognize our brave troops for bringing victory to the Iraqi people and to the cause of freedom around the
world. What has happened in Iraq reflects what our nation can do when the stakes are high, and the stakes in Iraq were VERY high. While Operation Desert Storm was an important victory in the fight for freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom was immeasurably more vital in terms of defending the values we hold dear, and yet the government will not organize a victory parade like it did for General Schwarzkopf's
troops. Why? Desert Storm was supported by the American public, and OIF has been the "orphan" of the last decade.Well, the orphan has parents now, and, as Pogo said, "They is us." Let's take ownership of our troops' victory in Iraq by gathering in the uncounted thousands to give them a national "thank-you." There will be patriotic speakers, fabulous music, a sea of flags, and a general atmosphere of celebration and thanksgiving for what our military men and women have done under the most difficult of circumstances. Be a part of it!

Now more than ever we must raise our voices to let our brave men and women in uniform know that we have their six. We are putting together the logistics for our Victory in Iraq Rally this 13 June, 2009 on the Mall in Washington, D.C. Our brave warriors must have our support. We must have a huge showing at this event to let those shouldering the burden in the Global War on Terror know that we will never let them down. As you all know, these events are a collective effort. We need each and every one of you not only to show up, but to support the event in whatever way you can. You can help us pay for it with as large a donation as you can bear. You
can visit your local VFW, American Legion and any other veteran’s clubs and urge
them to stand with us. Post fliers everywhere and anywhere like minded patriots might see them. Call and email your friends and impress upon them how important it is that we have a huge presence in D.C. I have never asked all of you to do everything before, but this time is different. I am asking every single one of you who visits this site to help us make this happen. We need to pull out all the stops. It is high-speed,
low-drag time and this is not the time to count on someone else to do your share. I have said it before, and I will say it again: Not only would our brave men and women in uniform do the same for us, THEY ALREADY ARE. Without them none of us could enjoy the things we love most; No blasts down the highway on the Harley, no hugs from our children, no meals we particularly enjoy. It is time for us to make the incredible showing we had back in March ’07 look small in comparison because this time the stakes are higher. If we do not make our voices heard the military could be good and finally broken. What young man or woman would join if they knew wounds
and/or injuries sustained during their service would have to be covered by their
personal insurance? What young man or woman would join if they didn’t see that at least some of their fellow Americans regard their service with respect, admiration, love and awe? None is the answer. We must let them know that their service has not been in vain and that they do not stand alone. We must let our valiant warriors know without a doubt that when we say we will never leave a comrade behind, we absolutely mean it. Please, I implore you all. Help us make this happen. Manchu

Chris Hill

If you got through all of that and your a patriotic American, I hope to see you there!

Oh yea, anybody who's DONE being pregnant & has an adorable baby to love on...or anybody who's pregnant & not SICK AS A DOG...

40, Is anyone jealous of you?
I don't think so...although my sister is usually pretty jealous of me, just because

41, Do you love anyone?
Oh yea, I love lots of people.

42. Do any of your friends have children?
Yep...James and Missy have our Godson T-Man and Melanie and Rob have Chloe, Jack, and Sophia

43, What do you usually do during the day?
Work...bo-ring.

44, Do you hate anyone that you know right now?
No, not that I can think of...

45, Do you use the word 'hello' daily?
Yep, at school

46, What color is your car?
Dark blue

47, Do you like cats?
I don't mind cats...as long as they don't rub up on me. I'm SERIOUSLY allergic and it's annoying to have a reaction to something that's preventable.

48. Are you thinking about someone right now?
I pretty constantly have either Baby Goetsch or Tim on my mind.

49, Have you ever been to Six Flags?
No, I never have. I've been to Disney World, Busch Gardens, King's Dominion and Kennywood, though.

50, How did you get your worst scar?
Um, I guess I'd have to determine which one is my worst scar, first. There's the one on my thumb that's pretty gnarly, from when I pulled a tendon stealing third in 8th grade. There's one on my left hand where I stabbed myself with a brand new exact-o knife. (with Carolynn in the car & not buckled in...OMG that was an experience) Or, there's the many scars on my legs which I think are the ugliest from my excema as a child. Oh yea, and my appendectomy scars, on my belly, but only Tim gets to see those, so they're not too bad. I don't think any one of my scars is "worse" than another, so you pick!

I AM alive...

And that's about as good as it gets.

I am not going to attempt to catch you up from my last Update, because it would take forever.

Pregnancy News:
I can feel the baby pretty much every time I lay on my stomach. It's awesome. I am in maternity pants 100% of the time now (except for like sweats & elastic waist stuff) because my belly is changing shape. I'm hovering around 190 sometimes a little lower, sometimes as high as 192 lbs. So, I know it's not fat, but actually baby, because I was 193 when I found out I was pregnant. I haven't been taking the zofran & the constipation has subsided. Unfortunately, without the zofran, I'm not really able to eat any meat and I'm super tired. I've been exhausted and basically zonked out all day since this weekend. I slept from about 5:00 yesterday afternoon until this morning! The morning sickness/nausea is getting worse & not better. I am not glowing. I'm considering asking Dr. Morgan for some antidepressants because I've been so gloomy & teary. I know part of the tears and constant crying is hormonal, but I just feel so down. I am sad to say it, but I am NOT enjoying being pregnant. I have decided that I'm going to tough it out until school ends and then see how I'm doing. I cried the other day at school, because someone moved my pizza in the teachers' lounge fridge. It's that bad. There are certain songs on the radio that I won't listen to, because they make me cry.

I am 14 weeks pregnant. According to one website, the baby is the size of an average fist. NEAT. I'll get pics up for WW tomorrow!

Girl Scout Camping Trip News:
I took my troop camping. We had 10 girls and 3 adults. The girls were whiney and complained about EVERYTHING but they all said they had a good time. We canoed, hiked (all over camp--a couple of times), they did the "Challenge Course" and we had food cooked over a fire. I ate three smores and the girls each got 2. My co-leader and the parent we took with us, convinced me to keep the troop and take them camping again next year. So, our troop is going to be switching to 2x a month meetings, on the weekends. We will have one "badge work" meeting & one activity meeting each month. Guess, I need to go find a Program Fun and get to work on planning that.

Work News:
We only have 25 school days to go. 11 of those are "teaching" days and the other 14 are either half days or events are going on, including SOL testing. We are only 42 days away from the last day of school, counting weekends & days off. The kids are over it and so am I. We start our SOL tests next Wednesday, a week from tomorrow. I honestly cannot wait to get them over with. I had 3 students fail the writing SOL test. Oh well. I have to get the plans done for our Luray Caverns field trip as well as our graduation ceremony (including determining who is Valedictorian & Saludatorian) so I have quite a bit to do....even though it's the end of the year.

OK, I think that's enough so that you know I'm alive.
