Candy Land Bluey Edition

Sulley got this Bluey Candy Land for Christmas and it has to be our favorite version of Candy Land ever!!

The colors are so calming and the art and characters are adorable.  The original Candy Land got a make-over while the boys were little and the board looked like it was designed by someone high on acid.  It was head-ache inducing for those of us NOT affected by sensory issues and down-right not playable by the little kids.

We love the little features of this game that make it 100% Bluey--like dance parties and the xylophone.

This is a win for our house & we highly recommend this to all Bluey fans!

Hypershot by Hasbro! Review sponsored by Tryazon

Thanks to Tryazon we got to review another new game!!

Hypershot by Hasbro is a super fun, affordable, travel ready air hockey themed game for all ages!

The minute this game arrived in the mail the boys were interested in getting it out and trying it out!

It only took me a few minutes to scan the instructions and explain the different modes to the boys, then they were off having a blast taking turns battling each other and trying out the training mode!

The box is. sturdy and the game fits neatly back into the box.  Alternatively, all of the pieces fit attached to the device in an easy to carry and store design.

This game is available at Walmart for $16 and from Hasbro for $20, making it very affordable.

We absolutely would recommend this game to our friends and family and will likely be gifting it to several friends soon!

Piggy Piggy! Tryazon

I was selected to review the new Hasbro game, Piggy Piggy, by Tryazon!  We received a copy of the game to try out with our friends and family!

Before we had a chance to try out the game as a family, Percy (5) and Bruce (4) got a hold of it and had a great time playing with the adorable little pigs!  I had to keep chasing after them so they didn't misplace the pigs before we got to play the game!

We sat down for a family game night one evening to try out this game.  Lucas is almost 15, Vinnie just turned 13, and Sulley is 7 and a half, but has several special needs.

I had previously read through the instructions but we gave Tim a chance to read them as well and then he and I taught the kids how to play while we played the first round.

As a game schooling family, Sulley (and even Percy) are very used to how games work with turn taking and being a good sport when winning or losing.

The art work on the cards is adorable.  As far as we could tell, they were all unique too!

The game play is relatively simple in concept but does leave a bit of strategy and luck to be figured out as well.  Each player is attempting to have the largest stash of food for each pig.  Each colored pig has a favorite food: donuts, tacos, fries, ice cream and sushi.  You can use goats to steal food cards from other players increasing your chances of winning a pig!  There is a unique scoring system that is easy to figure out and a round lasted about 25 minutes when we were learning and 15-20 minutes for each round after that!

The only down-side to this adorable game is the case!  While the shaped case is cute, it just isn't practical for a gaming family like ours.  It will live in the "bucket" of games because it doesn't easily stack on the shelves with the other card games.  Also, as you can see in the following pictures after the game has been played a few times the cards just do not fit back into the case.  We had to kind of smoosh them down and then quickly stick the lid on the game.

The game is less than $10 online so it would be a great travel game or a quick birthday gift!
