Piggy Piggy! Tryazon

I was selected to review the new Hasbro game, Piggy Piggy, by Tryazon!  We received a copy of the game to try out with our friends and family!

Before we had a chance to try out the game as a family, Percy (5) and Bruce (4) got a hold of it and had a great time playing with the adorable little pigs!  I had to keep chasing after them so they didn't misplace the pigs before we got to play the game!

We sat down for a family game night one evening to try out this game.  Lucas is almost 15, Vinnie just turned 13, and Sulley is 7 and a half, but has several special needs.

I had previously read through the instructions but we gave Tim a chance to read them as well and then he and I taught the kids how to play while we played the first round.

As a game schooling family, Sulley (and even Percy) are very used to how games work with turn taking and being a good sport when winning or losing.

The art work on the cards is adorable.  As far as we could tell, they were all unique too!

The game play is relatively simple in concept but does leave a bit of strategy and luck to be figured out as well.  Each player is attempting to have the largest stash of food for each pig.  Each colored pig has a favorite food: donuts, tacos, fries, ice cream and sushi.  You can use goats to steal food cards from other players increasing your chances of winning a pig!  There is a unique scoring system that is easy to figure out and a round lasted about 25 minutes when we were learning and 15-20 minutes for each round after that!

The only down-side to this adorable game is the case!  While the shaped case is cute, it just isn't practical for a gaming family like ours.  It will live in the "bucket" of games because it doesn't easily stack on the shelves with the other card games.  Also, as you can see in the following pictures after the game has been played a few times the cards just do not fit back into the case.  We had to kind of smoosh them down and then quickly stick the lid on the game.

The game is less than $10 online so it would be a great travel game or a quick birthday gift!
